New Moon in Leo – Transformation through discomfort

The New Moon in Leo  occurs on Saturday 26th July 2014 at 11.42pm GMT

As with all New Moons, the ‘energies’ are ripe for break-throughs, new starts and seed sowing. They represent ‘conception’ and a coming together of opposites into a new direction (positive/negative, light/dark, male/female). Projects that are begun under the New Moon, germinate and grow in strength. For this reason, I always advise people to go to their places of conflict and mystery and to focus on a resolving direction. Continue reading New Moon in Leo – Transformation through discomfort

Full Moon In Scorpio 2014

Full Moon in Scorpio 2014Wednesday 14th May 2014 8:16PM (UK time)

What is the theme for The Full Moon in Scorpio 2014?

May’s Full Moon in Scorpio 2014 is a tough one that demands attention. On the one hand It is judgemental, critical and harsh – asking us to look hard (VERY HARD) at our behaviour, at the behaviour of others and social constructs. Continue reading Full Moon In Scorpio 2014

Aries New Moon

Aries New MoonNew Moon in Aries 30th  March 2014 at 7.45pm UK

The beginning (and continuation) of the growth process

This New Moon is in Aries, which makes it a powerful time to have a new start. Whatever you focus your attention on this month, will get an extra dose of determination, action and direction. The Aries New Moon connects in to an ongoing tension and dynamic that is already playing out in the world (and in your life too), therefore, this New Moon has a very karmic quality in helping you to heal the most raw situations currently in your life. There aren’t any guarantees of success, but this New Moon’s energy is perfect for ‘change, growth and sudden (and surprising) advance learning’.

Cleansing flame or ravaging inferno?

The theme is a potent one which sets April ablaze. I will be writing separately about the Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon), The 23rd April, and the April New Moon later on. Suffice to say, the messages here will build up, and by this time next month, some karmic patterns are sure to have played out in your life. The New Moon is connecting powerfully with Uranus and this creates an energy of change, disruption and freedom. This is a great month to LET GO OF LIMITING BELIEFS, BEHAVIOURS AND LIFESTYLES!

Cutting away decisively

Aries energy is very go-getting, me-first and decisively active. If there’s a project underway, Aries energy can ignite motivation, trail blaze and push forward unafraid of the consequences. Aries energy acts first and thinks later. We all need to be gutsy from time to time; to make a brave decision, and move forward.

The heavenly menu for April is spicy, hot and could make your eyes water. With (ongoing and building) tensions between Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter and Mars – it’s like there’s a pungent, compulsive peeling of an onion – where hidden layers of control will be revealed. It’s an ongoing ‘big reveal’. I imagine that where people have been ‘shoe-horning’ themselves into a particular image or lifestyle, that ‘the metaphorical onion’ will  just be messages to you from yourself. These hidden truths will rock you to the level of how truthful you’ve been with yourself. If you’re living in line with your truth, then it probably won’t be so shocking (more motivating and energising), but where you’ve been playing hide and seek from yourself it’ll be…….’coming ready or not!’.….so either find a really good hiding place, or just give up and start a new game while you’ve still got some control.

Big reveal? Hey I’m ready to shine……

If you’ve been hiding a talent, skill or passion for a long time, this month could be one the marks you letting go of the limiting beliefs that made you hide your brightness. Whatever you identify as holding you back, you can move away from this month. April energy will be useful to get this moving for you. April can build your confidence.

I’ve outgrown my life! Does that count?

Yes it does. Good for you to recognise where you might be limited. Now’s the time to gracefully and peacefully implement plans to move on – whether it’s to a new job, new home, new country or even to a new marital status. make your plans now, and take steps closer to your greatest freedoms. With Venus in Aquarius, there’s a cooling detachment energy that you can connect into if you need it. You can find unattached, impartial support in so many places right now.

The clue to April is to know which side of the emotional fence you’re on and identify your resources. Where are you well resourced? and where are you floundering? Are you feeling great and motivated? What truth are you hiding from?

Desperate to keep moving forward at a pace?

If on the balance of it all, you’re feeling fighting fit and raring to get to work on something, this month ahead could be a groundbreaking one for you, where you create new pathways for yourself out of the rubble of the old you. There’s a big chance to re-create and free yourself from old restraints and limiting beliefs. There will of course be frustrations when things slow, or when you come up against other people’s limits for you, which is why I’d recommend working independently as much as you can. It will free you up to really be authentically you.

Trying to hold it all together?

If this feels more like you right now, then I’d advise you take some time out in April. The energies throughout this month are primed for response, offense, attack and breaking free. If you’re already at breaking point, this month might be the one to break the metaphorical camel’s back. If you’re confident that any trouble you get in, you can apologise out of later, then it’s not so bad, you might find a big ruckass is what you need to clear the air. But if you’re already living in a tense and uptight way, it’s best to rest up, do something you really enjoy and wait for the dust to settle in May.

With the New Moon applying to Uranus, there’s a surprisingness to the whole month ahead. When you see where the dust settles it might help you to make those all important decisions. It also looks like there’ll be lots of new information and evolution coming at us all throughout April, that could be a game changer.

Mars, which is still just conjunct the North node, is also asking you to remember what purpose / action it was that you came here to do. Have faith in your abilities, that you can find the strength to do just this – DREAM BIG!

Who is most affected this New Moon?

This is most potent for the following people:-

  • The Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) born at the end of the month or in the first 5 days of the month)
  • The Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
  • For people that know their birthchart – Anyone with a planet, point or angle between 8-12 degrees Aries

See you on the other side!

Virgo Full Moon, 2014

Virgo Full Moon 2014March 16th 2014, 5.09 pm

(26 degrees Pisces/ Virgo)

What is the theme for the Virgo Full Moon?

The theme for March’s Full Moon is to look at how we can serve, organise, discern and re-utilise our skills in the most effective way. Virgo’s energy is often self-sacrificing, self-deprecating and can at times find fault. It is important to ensure that the T’s are crossed and the I’s dotted prior to the Full Moon if you’re feeling out of balance. For those people that are especially emotional right now the Virgo Full Moon, marks a time of feeling used, and of feeling like a sacrificial lamb – as if ‘there’s nothing you can do’ to resolve a situation and as if you’re in the firing line of guilt and anger.

The emotions and personality are very cut off during this Full Moon and there is a strong Saturn presence marking a time when it is easy to be weighed down by responsibilities. Use this time to reflect, formulate decisions and get a grip on what would make you feel most empowered. See where you may already have resources that can be re-used to resolve your existing situations. With Saturn retrograde currently, it seems that something you have tried to implement in the past could be re-tested once again. It might be that your current situation is one that keeps recurring. If this is the case, use the power of the Virgo Full Moon to take practical action and accept your part in your difficulties.

Usually the Moon makes useful connections with other planets, which shows us where the build up of energy can be released. With this Virgo Full Moon, there are few options available. This month, there are two real release points for emotional tension and they are Saturn in Scorpio and Lilith in Cancer/Leo.

Full MoonSaturn as a release point

Saturn in Scorpio has the potential to harm, heal and do a bit of both simultaneously. At his best, he can cut through the emotional b*ll sh*t, wade through the guilt and create a clean space for cold scrutiny and truth. But if you catch Saturn in a bad mood, and especially if you’re under resourced, then Saturn in Scorpio can inflame areas of guilt and keep people invested in ‘their story of blame’, judgement and punishment. When really pushed, Saturn can cut his losses and others out of his life.

Lilith as a release point

Lilith in early Leo, forms an easy sextile to the Virgo Full Moon and Pisces Sun. The asteroid Lilith during this Full Moon, gives people access to confront, rebel and look for freedom from the emotions. It represents some of our earliest hurts and injuries, where we haven’t yet found peace. To have this in an easy position during the Full Moon, signifies that there is an opportunity for a big emotional release, if you’re brave enough to let out your judgements, and even more daring enough to let them go straight after.

Integrating the Full Moon Energy in March (2 recommendations)

If you’re in an emotional situation right now

If you are in an emotional situation right now and are ready to lance the poison, I’d recommend facing your nemesis head on. It is important to give each participant a chance to speak fully, whilst not reacting to what they say in a personal way. Listen to it as information. If you can’t be impartial, have someone you trust to stay neutral.

This is a Full Moon where old guilt, personal judgements and childhood pain can easily surface. You need to find an adult and detached mind-space to be able to look over the truth of what you may have felt and realise that it no longer applies.

The Waning Moon phase, which follows for the next couple of weeks, will allow any residual pain to die, and for you to ‘detox’ your body of any previous poisonous beliefs.

If you’re feeling relaxed in your life

For those who are feeling relaxed in life, this Full Moon marks a time to become more aware of where your personal obstacles/beliefs are preventing you from moving forward.  It is a time to de-clutter your emotions and your belongings. Whatever is in your life that no longer serves you, it’s time to let go of it. Potter around for the next few days and think through your health, your home, your belongings, your work. What is useful? What beliefs and habits can be re-cycled and applied in other areas? How can you better serve yourself and others?

This need not be stressful. If it gets stressful, leave it for a while. Don’t let go of the relaxation you’re currently feeling. There are better times to let go in April!

Looking forward into April and beyond

If you can at least lance your current emotional boils now, you’ll be much better resourced for April, which marks a time of collective unrest, posturing and discovery. The energy of April is rebellious, hot and irrational. Its not a time to make big life decisions in the heat of the moment.

As we move into May we can begin to build bridges once again and feel more connected to one another in spite of our differences.

Who is most affected by the Virgo Full Moon?

This is most potent for the following people:-

  • It is most transformative to those born in around 26 degrees of the mutable signs (Virgo, born 18-20th September / Sagittarius, born 17th-19th December / Pisces, born 15th-17th March / Gemini, born 16th-18th June) – it might get difficult, but can lead to stronger resolve and healing
  • The Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) will have opportunities to make great steps forward, and to connect to slow-burning future destinations.
  • For people that know their birthchart – Anyone with a planet, sensitive point or angle to approximately 26 degrees Virgo  (or Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini at 26 degrees)

Enjoy today’s Full Moon everyone!

Pisces New Moon

Pisces New Moon 2014

The Pisces New Moon, March 1st 2014, 08.03 GMT

The beginning of the creative process

The New Moon marks the beginning of the new lunar cycle and as such is a magical time, perfect for new beginnings. The New Moon is at its darkest and so, from this position things can only grow bigger, brighter and more beautiful. Because it brings in the waxing phase where the Moon grows steadily day by day, this period of time is uniquely linked in to New Beginnings.

Promise yourself the Moon

Like a tiny seed buried in cool moist soil, any wishes or intentions that you magic into being during this time are primed to grow. First they’ll swell as they germinate, growing into a seedling – full of potential, optimism and hope of becoming a fully grown plant.  Of course, the journey is long, and that potential may or may not be fully realised. And that’s how it is for the New Moon. It represents fertility, pure potential, ideas put into action, growth and enthusiasm. This energy is very similar to that of the Pages / Aces in a tarot deck. They are the beginning of a new creative process.  They aren’t a guarantee of success, but the energy is perfect for ‘attracting’.

Healing flows to where your attention goes…

The Theme for March’s New Moon in Pisces is a beautiful one. Coming forth at the same time as Mercury moves forward, both thoughts and feelings can be aligned and activated. The New Moon is delicately cradled between dreamy Neptune and healing Chiron, so any kind of healing rebalancing is particularly featured during this most psychic of New Moons.  Both Saturn and Jupiter offer a steady balancing support to channeling your intentions.  Expect your creativity to expand and your beliefs to strengthen.  Pluto lines up some powerful people should you need assistance in your reaching your desires. There’s an opportunity for serious mentorship and initiation. Mars catalyses this into action especially if there’s a ‘fatedness’ surrounding your intention.  Mars is conjunct the North node and and is asking you to challenge yourself, have faith in your abilities, so DREAM BIG!

The simplicity of your breath

You may already have a New Moon routine, but if not, you may enjoy  the simplicity of connecting in to your breath at the time of the New Moon and ‘marrying yourself’ to the energies of the moment. Create a silent space to appreciate how it feels to have already achieved your goals, and bless the energies for their hand in drawing  the magic to you. It’s as simple as that. Of course, if you are near water, even better as that ties in to the element of Pisces.

This is most potent for the following people:-

  • Those born in the first 10 days of your sign
  • The Water Signs (Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio)
  • For people that know their birthchart – Anyone with a planet, point or angle between 8-12 degrees Pisces

p>Enjoy the gifts the Pisces New Moon has to offer you,
